|'''Review'''
This time around we'll be reviewing Episode 16 titled the axe but before getting into that I have to show some reverence to our guest co-host Mr. Dan Fiorella as I'm sure our one listener is aware was part of the Galaxy Rangers elite team of writers they were like the SEAL Team 6 of you know the alphabet.
|'''Reviewer'''

[Dan Fiorella] Man, I'm just waiting for you to go somewhere with this. Wait a second, if I'm the listener and now I'm on the show's I mean I'm listening to myself now?
|-

[Jay] That's about right
|01

[RD_Blade] so Dan how do you feel about being on the podcast?
|'''Phoenix'''

[Dan Fiorella] I am a little nervous a little nervous I feel like I'm gonna be found out I lack of sci-fi cred is going to be exposed. I am NOT a big sci-fi guy, frankly my favorite sci-fi movie is Abbot and Costello Go to Mars and then they don't really go to Mars they go to Venus oh yeah so you know I'm distraught and can I ever trust a science fiction movie again?
|Robert Mandell

[Jay] so it was all about you know was all about girls right?
|September 14, 1986

[Dan Fiorella] oh yeah
|

[Jay] this is what it was completely about
|

[Dan Fiorella] Always 1950's Bates and yeah but I mean truthfully I was not, I am NOT a sci-fi person. The fact that I wound up writing on the show is very odd to me still.
|-

[RD_Blade] That ok. You know what we've done 15 episodes of pure sci-fi we could use a little break.
|colspan="6"|The Queen has put a price on the heads of the new race, humans. Captain Kidd sets a trap, snares the Phoenix spaceship with the Foxx family and the Ambassadors Waldo & Zozo aboard. Jessica and Little Zach get away. Zach and Eliza end up captured, Eliza gets turned over to the Crown, the ambassadors bust Zach out, and he gets shot in the process.

Kidd then helps them get away, as the Queen has double crossed him on payment. Zach gets back to Earth, gets a bionic arm and leg, and the S5 implant. Commander Walsh creates the Series 5 team to help Zach recover his wife and the other humans captured by the Queen. '''

[Dan Fiorella] Frankly half the time you guys are talking I'm sitting there going "What is that? What are they talking about?"
|-

[RD_Blade] You know, we're doing like eighties pop-culture references most of the time.
|02

[Dan Fiorella] I'm like I think I heard of that one okay that one sounds familiar yeah GI Joe that was a thing right
|'''New Frontier'''

[RD_Blade] prepare for some more cuz I have some in this episode too
|Robert Mandell

[Dan Fiorella] Oh dear...

==Questions Prelude ==
|

[RD_Blade] I put the word out on Twitter requesting that people direct message me with questions for you and boy did I get results. I wanted to leave some level of surprise so I didn't name you specifically I vaguely said the questions were for a Galaxy Rangers writer
|

[Dan Fiorella] so no ad hominem attacks on me
|-

[RD_Blade] as a result no no but nobody's attacking you but as a result I didn't get any Dan Fiorella specific questions... but a metric crap ton of questions came in. Now as a bonus at the end of this episode you told me and Jay the story of how you became a writer on our favorite space western
|colspan="6"|The Rangers go to Tortuna, looking for Captain Kidd, to find out what happened to Eliza. After escaping the Queens trap on Tortuna, Kidd leads them to the Queen's asteroid. They are captured by the Queen, but they can escape with Eliza's comatose body and rescue all the humans intact, but the other half of her psychocrystal is still in the hands of the Queen.

[Dan Fiorella] Yes, yes.
|-

[RD_Blade] So with that in mind and in the interest of keeping the podcast from being overly long I'll skip the questions that asked about that. Before we start the interview proper there's a the small matter of the bribe, I mean prize, that I offered listeners in in order to entice them into sending in questions.
|03

[Dan Fiorella] Oh dear..wait WHAT?!
|'''Tortuna'''

[RD_Blade] You are under no obligation. I however offered them a chance to win an original piece of RD Blade artwork. So here's a list of people that sent in questions and as a result have a chance to win that stick figure I drew.

[RD_Blade] Maria, Rangers superfan also from Team Espana and Dual Mirrored Grid Work
|colspan="6"|Geezi is a snitch, and he has one of the Queen's memory birds (so she doesn't use disks for data storage and retrieval, okay?). The Rangers go back to Tortuna (this time undercover as Zanguils) to buy the bird from Geezi, and they learn about how the Queen has decimated the Gherkin race along the way. Doc almost gets turned into a slaver lord, but you gotta watch it to see how everyone gets away.

[Jay] what?

[Dan Fiorella] The best way. Wait. This is your friend who didn't know you're doing a podcast and then stumbles across it?
|

[RD_Blade] yeah weird coincidence
|

[Dan Fiorella] That is yeah
|-

[RD_Blade] So anyways I used a certain website to randomize their names okay in no particular order and Dan, as our guest of honor, I'd like you to choose a number from one to five. The person you choose will win a special prize that consists of original artwork by yours truly. It's honestly like no other work I've done before and I hope they enjoy it.
|colspan="6"|Goose has to transport MaCross to Earth for trial. Lucky, lucky guy. The Black Hole Gang has other ideas, as MaCross apparently hid a stash of Starstones before he was captured, and they want the stones and MaCross back. They attack Goose's interceptor while in hyperspace, and they come out WAY off course, and crash on the frontier planet Ozark. Annie O. finds them, and so do the gang. Goose promises to come back someday, Annie gives him a peck on the cheek, MaCross goes to prison.

[Dan Fiorella] Okay, I'll say number five.

[RD_Blade] yeah and I and I promised him I'd make a copy of one in mail it to him and I never did so like the other day on Twitter he posted a picture that he just got it on eBay and stuff I'm like whoops
|-

[Dan Fiorella] Congratulations rabbi roberts
|colspan="6"|Zach and Zozo are sent to Biste-Fenokee to check up on Audra Miles, an anthropologist studying a aboriginal species on a world where nature is in complete control, and doesn't much like technology. Zach can't deal with the tribe's Shaman, Mistwalker, and is peeved because none of his devices work (bugs in 'em, literally), while the Black Hole Gang are looking for starstones, and aren't going to let any natives get in their way. This one has a great ending.

[Jay] why did he? You know it's cheaper to buy the whole set
|-

[RD_Blade] Actually, I think he might have done that you might have gotten the whole set and now he has like a set that's short one disc and he's looking to pawn it off on some fool.

|colspan="6"|On a transport-ship carrying explosives, the Rangers get a distress call from Cody Wildfire Carson, who remembers Zach from when he was just a kid. He's being chased by a Bad Guy called Garret who wants him dead for some crime or another, and asks for sanctuary, which Zach is forced to give. Cody tries to steal Shane's ship operated by Elma in one of the show's most memorable moments, where Elma zaps him and calmly replies "You, sir, are a boob.".

|-
|colspan="6"|An artificial planetoid is heading straight for Earth on a collision course, so the Rangers and the ambassadors got try to stop it. A highly sophisticated computer is running the show, and its a horror picture. Using holography, Spek (the computer) is trying to drive them off with one ghost story after another. Everybody splits into teams (horror movie mentality) to see who can get to the control room first. It seems Spek was programmed by some long dead alien race, and can't get out of him programming. He doesn't want to hit earth, but has no choice. Doc "helps" him to self destruct before he can do any damage, and they sadly say good-bye. This episode highly resembles Scooby Doo in a warped way....

Beings from all over the universe come to the planet to stake a claim and get rich. Unfortunately, the rush attracts the wrong element as well, like the Black Hole gang, who jump claims and rob the miners of their valuable Starstones. And Capt. Kidd and Squeege, sensing a chance to make a space-buck, naturally show up as well. He's selling blasters and weapons to the bandits who are running roughshod over the planet. This '''boomtown''', a rapidly grown city which sprang up around the mines is on the verge of being a lawless hell-hole. Which is why they request the Galaxy Rangers to come to town.

Introductions

[RD_Blade] What's up Internet you're listening to the sixteenth episode of the Series 6 Podcast where we review each and every episode of Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers. We are your hosts, I'm RD

[Jay] and I'm Jay and

[Dan Fiorella] Dan Fiorella as the beaver

[RD_Blade] get ready to engage your hyperdrives.

[Dan Fiorella] Man, I'm just waiting for you to go somewhere with this. Wait a second, if I'm the listener and now I'm on the show's I mean I'm listening to myself now?

[Jay] That's about right

[RD_Blade] so Dan how do you feel about being on the podcast?

[Dan Fiorella] I am a little nervous a little nervous I feel like I'm gonna be found out I lack of sci-fi cred is going to be exposed. I am NOT a big sci-fi guy, frankly my favorite sci-fi movie is Abbot and Costello Go to Mars and then they don't really go to Mars they go to Venus oh yeah so you know I'm distraught and can I ever trust a science fiction movie again?

[Jay] so it was all about you know was all about girls right?

[Dan Fiorella] oh yeah

[Jay] this is what it was completely about

[Dan Fiorella] Always 1950's Bates and yeah but I mean truthfully I was not, I am NOT a sci-fi person. The fact that I wound up writing on the show is very odd to me still.

[RD_Blade] That ok. You know what we've done 15 episodes of pure sci-fi we could use a little break.

[Dan Fiorella] Frankly half the time you guys are talking I'm sitting there going "What is that? What are they talking about?"

[RD_Blade] You know, we're doing like eighties pop-culture references most of the time.

[Dan Fiorella] I'm like I think I heard of that one okay that one sounds familiar yeah GI Joe that was a thing right

[RD_Blade] prepare for some more cuz I have some in this episode too

[Dan Fiorella] Oh dear...

Questions Prelude

[RD_Blade] I put the word out on Twitter requesting that people direct message me with questions for you and boy did I get results. I wanted to leave some level of surprise so I didn't name you specifically I vaguely said the questions were for a Galaxy Rangers writer

[Dan Fiorella] so no ad hominem attacks on me

[RD_Blade] as a result no no but nobody's attacking you but as a result I didn't get any Dan Fiorella specific questions... but a metric crap ton of questions came in. Now as a bonus at the end of this episode you told me and Jay the story of how you became a writer on our favorite space western

[Dan Fiorella] Yes, yes.

[RD_Blade] So with that in mind and in the interest of keeping the podcast from being overly long I'll skip the questions that asked about that. Before we start the interview proper there's a the small matter of the bribe, I mean prize, that I offered listeners in in order to entice them into sending in questions.

[Dan Fiorella] Oh dear..wait WHAT?!

[RD_Blade] You are under no obligation. I however offered them a chance to win an original piece of RD Blade artwork. So here's a list of people that sent in questions and as a result have a chance to win that stick figure I drew.

[Jay] Excellent!

[Dan Fiorella] in number one pencil not even number two

[RD_Blade] <FIX> It's five people got on you from Team Espana, Nocturna Books who gave us our first feedback, Rabbi Bob Series 6 Podcast's biggest enabler

[Dan Fiorella] Enabler, okay...

[RD_Blade] Maria, Rangers superfan also from Team Espana and Dual Mirrored Grid Work

[Jay] what?

[RD_Blade] also known as DMG

[Dan Fiorella] okay

[RD_Blade] Now he and I know each other because we both been listeners of the Transmissions podcast for many years and he recently got into the Galaxy Rangers and just discovered our podcast by accident

[Jay] Get out really

[Dan Fiorella] The best way. Wait. This is your friend who didn't know you're doing a podcast and then stumbles across it?

[RD_Blade] yeah weird coincidence

[Dan Fiorella] That is yeah

[RD_Blade] So anyways I used a certain website to randomize their names okay in no particular order and Dan, as our guest of honor, I'd like you to choose a number from one to five. The person you choose will win a special prize that consists of original artwork by yours truly. It's honestly like no other work I've done before and I hope they enjoy it.

[Dan Fiorella] Okay, I'll say number five.

[RD_Blade] I gotta look at the picture I just took

[Dan Fiorella] Technology...

[Jay] I know it's me it's me it's me it's me let it be me let it be me let it be me let it be me let it be me

[RD_Blade] You didn't even send any in. You can ask him now though...

[Dan Fiorella] Employee employees of the podcast are not eligible to enter

[Jay] What?!

[RD_Blade] That's bull because Rabbi Bob wouldn't be eligible

[Jay] That's not cool.

[Dan Fiorella] Well it better not be him man.

[Jay] It better not be

[Dan Fiorella] No offense Rabbi Bob, but come on..

[RD_Blade] It actually is...

[Dan Fiorella] Oh come on! My bad, we love you Rabbi Bob

[RD_Blade] You know I actually owed him a disk because because he damaged one of his uh his vol.1 discs

[Jay] Oh did he?

[RD_Blade] yeah and I and I promised him I'd make a copy of one in mail it to him and I never did so like the other day on Twitter he posted a picture that he just got it on eBay and stuff I'm like whoops

[Dan Fiorella] Congratulations rabbi roberts

[Jay] why did he? You know it's cheaper to buy the whole set

[RD_Blade] Actually, I think he might have done that you might have gotten the whole set and now he has like a set that's short one disc and he's looking to pawn it off on some fool.
