Elite:Dangerous

I played Elite back in '84 when it came out and I had my Commodore 64. I picked up the latest iteration over Thanksgiving and have been touring the galaxy with son... it's sooooo much fun!!

Attached is the original game and also my son and I watching Beetlejuice rise.

Didn't the C64 version use a microphone to sent audio commands to the game? Does the new version use audio commands?

If it did, it was beyond what I had access to. You can do it nowadays with 3rd party programs like VoiceAttack.

I just loaded it on a C64 emulator... holy crap what a throwback.

Recently picked up a Fleet Carrier in the game, designated it BETA Mountain.org in game. The paint job and trim job, imo, reflects something that would be in the GR universe.

The majority of my ships are tagged for GR characters as well.
